Wie ermittelt man den richtigen Halsumfang
Variante 1: Ihr messt direkt, mit einem flexiblen Maßband am Hund
Achtet darauf, nicht zu weit unten zu messen, sondern lieber weiter oben am Hals. Legt das Maßband straff (ohne Finger dazwischen) an den Hund. Die Halsbänder werden immer so gefertigt, dass Ihr beim angegeben Halsumfang 2cm kleiner und 2cm größer verstellen könnt.
Variante 2: Ihr messt ein gutsitzendes Halsband im geschlossenen Zustand
Verwendet die Einstellung, in der es immer getragen wird und legt das flexible Maßband straff hinein. Als gegen Kontrolle, könnt Ihr auch nochmal am Hund messen. Der Halsumfang sollte fast identisch sein.
Zollstock und Halsbänder in der Länge ausmessen, ist keine zuverlässige Art den Halsumfang zu ermitteln, da jedes Halsband unterschiedlich dick ist und somit verringert sich der Innenumfang unterschiedlich.
Zugstop Halsband
Hierfür benötige ich zwei Maße: Halsumfang und Kopfumfang
Den Kopfumgang messt Ihr am Kopf direkt vor den Ohren (Zeichnung blau).
Möchtet Ihr ein Halsband mit diesem Verschluss bestellen, schreibt es mit ins Nachrichtenfeld mit dem zusätzlichen Maß Kopfumfang.
Wie messe ich meinen Hund für ein Geschirr aus?
Für die Herstellung brauche ich 4 Maße und es ist wichtig, genau und straff zu messen.
1.Rückensteg 2.Bauchumfang 3.Schulter einseitig und 4. Bauchsteg.
Euer Hund sollte bei jedem Maß aufrecht stehen, er darf den Kopf nicht zu weit oben oder nach unten geneigt haben. Wenn er nicht ruhig stehen kann, holt Euch am besten eine 2. Person.
- Rückensteg: Als 1. erfühlt Ihr die Schulterblätter am Nacken Eures Hundes. Von dort aus messt Ihr zu dem Punkt, wo Ihr möchtet, dass der Bauchgurt um Euren Hund geht. Als Hilfestellung, könnt Ihr Euch ein Geschenkband o.Ä. zur Hand nehmen und knotet es dort fest, wo später der Bauchgurt sitzen soll.
- Bauchumfang: Achtet darauf, dass der Bauchgurt nicht zu nah an den Achseln sitzt. Das könnte sonst unangenehm beim Laufen sein. Messt nun einmal straff den Bauchumfang aus.
- Schulter (einseitig): Hier müsst Ihr das Brustbein Eures Hundes erfühlen. Bei dem Schultergurt ist es wichtig, einseitig zu messen, von demselben Punkt vom Rückensteg bis zum Brustbein. Achtet darauf direkt am Hals entlang zu messen und nicht zu locker über der Schulter.
- Bauchsteg: Nun messt Ihr vom Brustbein zwischen den Beinen, bis hin zum Bauchgurt. Gerade bei diesem Maß ist der Trick mit dem Geschenkband sehr hilfreich, da man genau vor Augen hat, bis wohin man messen soll.
Die Maße von Punkt 2. und 4. werden am Geschirr verstellbar sein.

How to measure the neck circumstance correctly
Possibility number 1: You measure your dog by using a flexible measuring tape
Please make sure that you measure your dog's neck at its throat and not where its neck passes into its body. Put the measuring tape tightly and without any fingers between your dog's neck and the measuring tape around your dog's neck. The dog collars produced can be shortened or enlarged by two centimetres.
Possibility number 2: You measure a well-fitting collar when closed
To measure the length of your dog collar adjust the width that fits your dog well. Then, put the measuring tape tightly on the inside of the dog collar. It is a good idea to control the length measured on your dog collar by measuring your dog's neck as well (see possibility number 1). The two resulting numbers should nearly be identical.
Never use a folding meter stick to measure your dog's neck. Every dog collar is differently thick. That is why the inner circumstance will differ.
Slip collar with stopper
To produce a slip collar with stopper I need two measurements: neck circumstance and head circumstance
To measure the head circumstance please measure directly in front of your dog's ears (see draft in blue).

How to measure my dog's body for a harness
To produce a harness I need four measurements and it is extremely important to measure precisely and tightly.
The measurements are: 1. back/withers crosspiece, 2. chest circumstance, 3. shoulder (only one side), 4. brisket crosspiece
When measuring, it is important that your dog stands upright and that it does not look up to the ceiling or down to the floor. If your dog does not want to stand still, get help from another person.
- Back/withers crosspiece: Search for your dog's shoulder blades. This is the starting point. Measure until where you want the chest belt to be. To facilitate the measuring process, take a gift ribbon or something similar and fasten it with a knot where you want the chest belt to be.
- Chest circumstance: Please make sure that the chest belt is not too close to the elbow. That could be uncomfortable for your dog when walking. Then, measure the chest circumstance tightly.
- Shoulder piece (only one side!): Put your fingers on the breast bone of your dog. This is the final point. The starting point is the point where you started to measure the back/withers crosspiece at your dog's shoulder blades. Please make sure that you do not measure directly around your dog's throat or too loose along the shoulder.
- Brisket crosspiece: Put your fingers on the breast bone. This is the starting point. From this point measure until you reach the chest belt. Especially with this measurement using a gift ribbon is highly recommended and very useful as you can see until where you have to measure. If you use the gift ribbon as a help, you will have a strong probability to measure correctly.
The measurements number 2 and 4 will be pieces of the harness that you can adjust.
